Train-Tram

Vossloh has designed the first train-tram in Spain, a new transport concept that is less contaminating, faster and more efficient. We´re also experienced in tramways.

The train-tram is a light articulated vehicle that functions as a suburban train in the metropolitan area and as a tram in the urban context, capable of surface and underground travel. Travelling from outside a city to its interior without having to change is the great advantage of this mixed system, making it possible to achieve travel times that are very competitive by comparison with other means of transport.

Metros

The trains for metros have substantially improved their benefits over the past years. For example the new series 4300 incorporate a design of traction and power that allows to recover the original benefits of prior series.

New, more powerful motors increase the benefits of the present composition and to it a new control equipment of 32 bit, called "Agate", is added. The units will have then a greater power and will improve their acceleration over 1 m/s². The new series has a computer network control and new traction equipment with semiconductors IGBT with forced and self ventilation integrated.

Electrical equipment for LRVs and Tramways

Vossloh supplies the complete electrical equipment for rail vehicles. Propulsion technology, vehicle control systems, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems as well as static converters for the on-board power supply of the vehicles come from Vossloh's own development and production.
